Chapin has 4 levels of warranties on our products: 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, and limited lifetime warranties. Parts and certain accessories do not have warranties. Check our Warranty page for an explanation of each warranty level. Your warranty will be listed on your packaging and/or product manual. Please register your product after purchase to access your warranty.

NOTE: For all spreaders, improper use or failure to follow instructions can result in product failure or injuries. For safe use of this product you must read and follow all instructions before using.

  • Empty hopper of any remaining material
  • Thoroughly wash spreader, some ice melt products and lawn chemicals will cause rust if left in a wet stainless steel hopper (examples: magnesium chloride and calcium chloride)
  • DO NOT spray directly into the gearbox, this can cause rust
  • Use a standard garden hose, DO NOT use a power washer
  • Allow to fully dry before storing
  • Check tires for proper inflation after storing spreader for long periods (Inflate to 20 PSI)

If you have a pull up handle, fold it down for storage

If you have a grease fitting, apply general-purpose grease at least once a month
