The Chapin 82088B 80-pound winter ice melt spreader is designed for professionals and a top choice for homeowners. It’s built with SureSpread™ technology so it spreads evenly, every time. Holding up to 80 pounds of salt, halite, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride (small and pelletized particulates), the weather-resistant hopper is supported by a powder-coated steel frame and 12-inch pneumatic tires. Solid steel linkage, t-shaped handle with grips, full gate control and an aggressive toothed auger, the 82088B is made for harsh weather. Front and side baffles guide where the ice melt should go and a rain/snow cover is included. Some assembly is required. Do not use with sand and sand mixes. Made in the USA with global materials and backed by Chapin’s 5-year warranty.
