Chapin TurfPro™ 80 Pound Residential Landscape Lawn Spreader

Designed for residential use, Chapin's 89000A 80-pound broadcast turf spreader has a weather-resistant poly hopper that sits on a powder-coated steel frame, and an enclosed gear system protected from the elements. The U-shaped handle makes it easy to push, and the 10-inch pneumatic tires roll easily over lawns. The gate opening is controlled with an ambidextrous bail cable, and the adjustable gate lever can be set to spread your preferred brand of fertilizer or seed. This unit is not recommended for use with rock salt, sand and sand mixes, lime, lime mixes and pelletized lime. Backed by Chapin's 2-year limited warranty.

Chapin has 4 levels of warranties on our products: 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, and limited lifetime warranties. Parts and certain accessories do not have warranties. Check our Warranty page for an explanation of each warranty level. Your warranty will be listed on your packaging and/or product manual. NOTE: For all spreaders, improper use or failure to follow instructions can result in product failure or injuries. For safe use of this product you must read and follow all instructions before using.

  • Empty hopper of any remaining material
  • Thoroughly wash spreader, some ice melt products and lawn chemicals will cause rust if left in a wet stainless steel hopper (examples: magnesium chloride and calcium chloride)
  • DO NOT spray directly into the gearbox, this can cause rust
  • Use a standard garden hose, DO NOT use a power washer
  • Allow to fully dry before storing
  • Check tires for proper inflation after storing spreader for long periods (Inflate to 20 PSI)

If you have a pull up handle, fold it down for storage

If you have a grease fitting, apply general-purpose grease at least once a month

Only our battery-operated products include an SDS. This is specifically for the battery included with the unit. Chemicals are not included with any sprayer, spreader, or watering product. Always review the SDS that comes with whatever chemical or solution you’re spraying or spreading and consult with technical team if you have any questions. 1-800-444-3140, option 1.
